There hasn’t been much trash worth posting about this week. It has been mild, however, and it looks like the warm weather is here to stay (at least for the most part). That means spring cleaning is coming, which could mean some cool trash. It also makes biking around the city a bit more pleasant.
I came across this vaccuum in the trash yesterday (on the corner of Clark and Villeneuve) and I thought it served as a good example of how to give things away via the curb. It was left out long before the truck was scheduled to come and it had attached to it a sign indicating how it was in working condition.
I happened to need a vaccuum, at least for one job, so I took it back home and will likely give it away again after I’m done. So, thanks to whoever put this out there! I likely wouldn’t have bothered otherwise.
I’m going to take a look for more trash tonight, so there’s still a chance I could make a cool find this week. I’ll keep you posted.

I don’t recall How I came upon it or what led me here (when I surf I surf 100% of where ever my search takes me)but once I started scrolling the short posts and insalacious booty shots I got curiously excited to what you had found (I read in reverse chronollogy) having read the entire blog in bits and pieces backwards yesterday and today. I live in Montreal too and have furnished and clothed myself for over 15 years via 2nd hnds found or bought (mostly because a surplus of new things make me sick ++plus+ living happily below the “totally gross” domestcic poverty line) so it was great to see other things out there that other people find:at one point I was thinking you were a break-in artist with all that jewlery you found and was wondering if you created this blog as a cover up for things you had actually stolen! But the more I read & read it is clear your intentions are good. I am almost ready to make a living off of the bikes I’ve found in those little one lane fertile alley ways you shoot your booty in in a virtual Etzy shop of my own. So I can&will keep checking your posts now not only for the strange&cool things you find yourself finding (ad. Infin.) but also for bikes&parts you find (ad. admin.)as I am too busy to look as much as I would like anymore as the work from found_bike to new-bike-feel&functionability is Herculean to say the mythickly least pompous thing I could possibly think of to end this comment!

It is a great idea to give away many of the things you find.But I want to tell you you should keep some things you find long-term ,with the hope of one day passing them on to family or friends.I found a beer stein in the trash a few years ago,and took it home.After washing it,I have been using it ever since.I also found a Harry Potter book in a recycling bin in NDG and want to keep it for good too.On the other hand,I have found great folding chairs in the trash that I gave away to university buddies.
